This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"), our website goseeapp.com (the "Website") and our services. • User-Generated Content: We collect the videos, photos, titles, descriptions, and any other content you create and upload to the App for spot checks or fulfilling requests ("User Content").
• Geolocation Data: We collect your device's location information when you use the App to tag media, discover nearby spot checks, or fulfill location-specific requests. You can disable location services through your device settings, but this may limit certain features.
• Transaction Information: If you make or receive payments for spot check requests (e.g., via Apple Pay or Google Pay), we or our third-party payment processors may collect payment and transaction details. We do not store full credit card numbers.

Usage Data

We may automatically collect information about your device and how you interact with our App, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, access times, pages viewed, and the page you visited before navigating to our App (if applicable).

2. How We Use Your Information

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the App to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Enable you to capture, upload, and share User Content.
• Display spot checks and requests based on location and user preferences.
• Process transactions and fulfill spot check requests, including incentive payments.
• Use AI-powered services to validate User Content for relevance and appropriateness.
• Communicate with you, including sending notifications about your account, spot checks, requests, and updates to our services.
• Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience with the App.
• Prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against criminal activity.
• Resolve disputes and troubleshoot problems.

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:

• With Other Users: Your User Content (videos, descriptions) and associated location information will be visible to other users of the App as part of spot checks or fulfilled requests. Your username may also be visible.
• With Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf, such as payment processing (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay), data analysis, AI content validation, email delivery, hosting services, customer service, and marketing assistance.
• For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of GoSee, (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the App or the public, or (iv) protect against legal liability.
• Business Transfers: We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.

4. Our Website, Cookies and Analytics

• Hosting: The Website is served by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. We rely on our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
• Live content: The Explore section loads recent spot checks from our backend (Supabase) and webcam previews from Windy.com. Your browser connects to these services directly, so they receive your IP address. No cookies are set for this.
• Analytics (only with your consent): If you click "Accept", we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the Website. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_*, which last up to 2 years, and Google may process the data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If you click "Reject" or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
• Your choice: We remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics in your browser's local storage. This is strictly necessary and is not used for tracking.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time: Cookie settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal data on these legal bases:

• Contract: to provide the App, your account, requests and payments.
• Consent: for website analytics, location access and notifications. You can withdraw it at any time.

We will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. User-generated spot checks are designed to expire after a few hours to ensure freshness.

9. Third-Party Services

The App may contain links to third-party websites and applications of interest, including advertisements and external services, that are not affiliated with us. Once you have used these links to leave the App, any information you provide to these third parties is not covered by this Privacy Policy, and we cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of your information. We use services like Google Places API for location features and Supabase for authentication. Their respective privacy policies govern their data collection.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or a higher age threshold depending on the jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.
